Shredder machine common problems and solutions.
It is possible that small pieces of metal or stone are stuck in the rotor or reverse knife of the machine. To find out, stop the shredder and switch it to service mode. This allows you to unlock and open the maintenance door. The process depends on the type of machine you have. Here it is important to check the condition of the crushing tool and the reverse knife. They may have been damaged by foreign objects, in which case they need to be replaced.
If the main drive of the machine often reverses, turning first in one direction and then in the other direction, what does it mean? Usually, this means that the crushing tool and the reverse knife have worn out. Simply rotate the tools or replace them if necessary. However, depending on the model series, the rotor or cutting frame may also show signs of wear. Then you have to examine them more closely and take further action.
Does your control panel show that the temperature of the shredder bearing exceeds 80 degrees Celsius? There may be several reasons for this:
A. insufficient lubrication. Check for oil spills or grease. Replace seals and apply new grease.
B. Dirt accumulates in bearings. This leads to increased friction and higher temperatures.
C. Clean and re-lubricate bearings.
D. Always check the bearing for assembly errors. It could also be the heat.
Is your shredder running smoothly before the sudden hard stop of the rotor causes the machine to enter failure mode? Switch it to service mode and open the service door. Then follow the instructions in the operating manual. If necessary, empty the crushing chamber and remove any large pieces of metal or stone. Check crushing tools and reverse knives for damage.
There are two possible reasons:
A. The screen hole size is too large.
B. Install a screen with small holes.
